Sector 88A is one of the New Gurgaon sectors laid out along the Dwarka Expressway (NH-248BB), roughly 1.5-2 km from the expressway itself and about 5-6 km from NH-48. This places it within the newer wave of Gurugram's residential expansion - a belt that has developed largely over the last decade, in step with the expressway's own phased construction, rather than the older, more established sectors closer to MG Road and Golf Course Road. For the full connectivity picture - distances, routes and nearby landmarks - see our Location page, linked below.
It's worth being upfront about the trade-offs of a newer sector like this one. On the plus side, Sector 88A benefits from wider, more recently planned roads, larger master-planned townships with more room for green space (as opposed to the denser, older development pattern closer to the city centre), and a direct expressway link that continues to improve as remaining stretches of the Dwarka Expressway are completed. On the other hand, social infrastructure - the density of established schools, hospitals and retail - is still catching up to what decades-old sectors near MG Road or Sushant Lok already have in place, and public transit (specifically, a dedicated metro station on this corridor) remains a proposed rather than operational amenity as of now. Our Schools and Hospitals pages give you the current, specific picture for this pocket of the sector rather than the city as a whole.
Much of Sector 88A's near-term trajectory is tied to the Dwarka Expressway's own progress. A roughly 19 km stretch on the Gurugram side was inaugurated in March 2024, part of the broader approximately 29 km, 8-lane corridor, and this phased opening has been a key driver of residential and retail development along the belt, including the malls and social infrastructure covered elsewhere on this website. Longer-term stories relevant to the area - Global City, Gurugram and potential airport capacity expansion - are still in planning or early stages and shouldn't be treated as current facts, but they do point to a corridor that's likely to keep developing over the coming years rather than one that has already plateaued.
Day to day, residents in this pocket rely on a mix of the sector's own developing retail (malls like Esplanade Mall and Airia Mall along the corridor) and a drive into more established parts of Gurugram for a wider range of options - dining at Cyber Hub, larger malls like Ambience Mall, or more choice in schools and specialist healthcare. It's a trade-off common to any newer, developing corridor: more space and newer infrastructure in exchange for a bit more driving to reach the full range of a mature city's amenities.
On the Dwarka Expressway (NH-248BB) corridor of New Gurgaon, roughly 1.5-2 km from the expressway and 5-6 km from NH-48.
New Gurgaon - it's one of the sectors that developed alongside the Dwarka Expressway over the past decade, distinct from the older, more established sectors near MG Road.
Newer, wider roads and larger master-planned layouts, but social infrastructure (schools, hospitals, retail density) and public transit are still catching up compared to older parts of the city.
Not yet operational - a station on the Dwarka Expressway corridor has been proposed, but the nearest currently working stations are HUDA City Centre and IFFCO Chowk, about 12-13 km away.
It's still an actively developing corridor - infrastructure and retail have grown quickly alongside the phased opening of the Dwarka Expressway, and further growth is expected as remaining stretches and area projects progress.
